A short day with only a brief stretch of interesting rocky track through rosemary shrubs. But the destination was worth it - Ujue, yet another hard to pronounce name. It's a medieval hilltop town with narrow, steep cobbled streets. Dominating it is the fortified church of Santa Maria, a national monument.
The town was buzzing with Spanish visitors when we arrived, all 3 restaurants and the bars flat tack. And yet for the 16th day of walking we again saw no one on our trail.
We enjoyed calamari and coffee when we arrived and explored the church.
